London: Britain’s Charles will officially be proclaimed king in a ceremony on Saturday and this will be the first time the Accession Council is televised local reporters informed.
Charles became the heir automatically the moment his mother died, so the council proclamation will be a ceremonial one. Flags will fly at full mast for 24 hours to honour the new king, before returning to half mast.
In his first address to Britain and his Commonwealth realms, King Charles III on Friday expressed his love for son Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan. “I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas,” the king said.
