Ukraine: Ukraine’s Kharkiv city has been shelled twice in the early hours on Friday, said city mayor Ihor Terekhov. As per the information given by the mayor, the strikes targeted a two-storey building and an educational institution around 4:09 am. State Emergency Services have been deployed to evacuate people from under the rubble. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
On Thursday, city officials said two S-300 long-range surface-to-air missiles had hit the region.
In the Eastern Province, the Russian forces are speculated to have gained charge of small pockets in the Donetsk region. As per the Ukrainian militia other attempts by Russian forces to “carry out assaults” in the direction of Yakovlivka, Bakhmut and Semyhiria had “failed.” The eastern region of Donbas has been facing continuous terror since its inception, with the Kremlin trying to acquire the region at large but failing.
The grain treaty which was to be in action on Thursday faced a delay in commencement, as inferred by the statement given by UN officials. The first grain shipment was to leave the port of Odesa for global markets on Thursday, but procedural details for safe passage are still being worked out, the organization’s chief aid coordinator said. He noted that the parties need to get the exact location of safe passage corridors “absolutely nailed down,” adding “I think we’ll see this very quickly.” According to him, the shipment would depart as early as Friday.
