Jerusalem: The war between Israel and Hamas militants entered its 10thday on Monday and is expected to escalate further. More than one million people have been forced from their homes in the northern Gaza Strip since Israel began its bombardment against Hamas, the UN said on Sunday, warning of dire conditions on the ground.
Meanwhile, the fourth flight from Israel under ‘Operation Ajay’ carrying 274 Indian passengers landed in the national capital on Sunday. Union Minister of State General VK Singh received them at the airport.
“There is another flight coming tomorrow, We will keep flights running till all the people who have registered are taken out. This operation is going very well. It is seamless, well organized….”, said Singh.
Israel has already urged Palestinians to evacuate to the southern area of Gaza City enclave. Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli military has opened a safe corridor in northern Gaza to allow residents to go to the “safer” southern part of the seaside territory. In a post on X, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said they will not launch any operation on this corridor from 10 am to 1 pm.
