According to Syrian media reports, the Israeli army targeted a defense facility and a scientific research center located near the city of al-Safira. The attacks are part of the latest air strikes by Israel inside Syria, which have increased rapidly since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights report, 7 loud explosions were heard during the Israeli attack on defense factories south of Aleppo in Syria. However, there is no immediate information about any casualties in these attacks. AFP quoted a resident of Al-Safira area as saying that these attacks were so strong that the ground shook and the doors and windows of the houses opened.
Israel has carried out more than 500 airstrikes in the last few weeks. These include attacks on the Syrian Navy as well. Apart from this, Israel has also established control over the buffer zone located near the Golan Heights. According to some reports, Israeli forces have been seen only 20 kilometers away from Damascus.
