Iran has cautioned the United States that if they indeed support Israel’s counter retaliatory performance it will be neither without repercussions nor consequences. This message was conveyed to the US administration through Switzerland.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin emphasized that while his country aims to avoid conflict with Iran, it stands firm in supporting Israel’s defense.
In response to Iran’s warning, the US revealed that its forces in the Middle East intercepted numerous missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) aimed at Israel from Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. Secretary Austin pledged further assistance to Israel for its defense and regional stability.
After Iran provoked Israel with its attack, US President Joe Biden made it clear that he condemns the act of unilateral aggression and plans to bring the leaders of the G7 together for diplomatic action. He again aired America’s firm devotion to Israel’s security and acclaimed Israel’s bravery, which has withstood all the other states’ attempts at undermining.
In short, the head of Israel, Mr. B. Netanyahu, mentioned that the state successfully nullified the enemy’s aim in the war; he was also certain that Israel would continue battling for the solidarity of its precious citizens. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, IDF’s military spokesperson, characterized Iran’s military practices as very severe and concluded this may lead to regional escalation.
However, this time, Iran declared its strikes as a response to alleged Israeli offenses and announced that “Israelis will be represented to pay” if they do it again.
The world reaction was quick and strong: international reprimands from the European Union, Britain, Japan, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Mexico, Netherlands, and Norway.
In response to Iran’s threatening messages, defense minister Yoav Gallant of Israel expressed thanks for the US’s backing but maintained the watchfulness as their more significant concern. He highlighted the country’s successful use of its defensive capabilities to repel the subsequent wave of attacks.
On the other hand, India vocalized the need to find a peaceful outcome, and discontinue any escalation, and maintain diplomacy.
