Islamabad : Fawad Chaudhary, Pakistan’s Information Minister, stated on Tuesday that cabinet ministers whose names featured in the Pandora Papers would not be removed from their posts unless they were found guilty. When asked whether action would be taken against the ministers mentioned in the Pandora Papers, Choudhary stated during a press conference.

Choudhary claimed on Monday that Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan had constituted a squad to look into the Pakistani identities in the matter of the Pandora Papers. Opposition parties, on the other hand, slammed Khan’s action, calling it a “hoax.”

The opposition has demanded an investigation by a judicial committee or an independent commission similar to the one that investigated the Panama Papers.

Khan’s move to safeguard ministers and other persons linked with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and its allies were dubbed “protecting the ministers and other people associated with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and its allies.” The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) released the Pandora Papers on Sunday.
