Lahore: Following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Leader and Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, his followers and other PTI members, have taken the streets across various parts of the country. Some scenes have also been captured at the military establishments and army headquarters where the PTI workers have gone to the places angrily.
Pakistan nationals are coming out in support of the former leader. Ace cricketer, Wasim Akram took to his Twitter account, “you are one man, but you have the strength of millions. Stay strong skipper”.
On 9 May, Imran Khan was taken into Police Custody in Islamabad, where he was questioned about the Graft charges case, which he had been fighting for a long time.
Just a few hours after Imran Khan was taken into custody, Islamabad Police tweeted that he had been arrested for the Qadir Trust Case. It is being reported that the land was allegedly given to him for the Al Qadir Trust University, against which he would have to return the 190 million dollars in the United Kingdom to Malik Riyaz. Malik Riyaz is one of the Pakistani Real Estate tycoons.
Since the reports regarding this incident, there has been continuous violence across various parts of the country. Many news and media channels have been covering the protests and violence happening since then. Pakistan Muslim League office located in Lahore experienced a fire that broke out during the night. Some users say that the PTI Officials have done this fire, but they have denied these allegations.
