Washington: The House Judiciary Committee released a deposition confirming the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI’s) authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop. Chuck Grassley has now released an unverified document that Republicans claim is significant in their investigation of Hunter Biden as they probe the financial affairs of the president’s son.
While President Biden continues to deny any involvement in his son’s overseas business venture, a post published on October 14, 2020 shows how an email indicated his meeting with an executive from Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian gas company.
In a closed-door deposition held on Monday, section chief od the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force, Laura Dehmlow testified that she participated in a call with Twitter the same day.
Grassley of Iowa, who works alongside House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has deepen their probe of the President Joe Biden and his son. While the lawmakers have already been able to partly review the information, a document detailing Hunter Biden’s alleged business dealings has been made public. The dealings were made when he served on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
“It is remarkable that congressional Republicans, in their eagerness to go after President Biden regardless of the truth, continue to push claims that have been debunked for years”, said the White House Spokesperson.
