Hezbollah from Lebanon launched more than 50 rockets on Wednesday, which targeted the Golan Heights, an Israeli-annexed place. This, in turn, also damaged various private homes. Along with that, this attack is also followed by the meeting of Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, with the Qatari and Egyptian officials. The meeting was done to put forward some negotiations to the cease fire. But Hamas criticized the proposal which had been put forward to them by the US and even blamed the US for accepting the new conditions which have been given by Israel.
The United States has not shown any response after the statements made by Hamas on the same. After the Hezbollah attack, it has been reported that a 30-year old man suffered from various injuries in the Golan Heights. One house also caught fire, and fortunately the firefighters arrived at the scene quickly to prevent any form of gas leak and further destruction. Hezbollah said in a statement that this fire was a revenge for the assault done by Hamas on Tuesday night, which killed an individual and injured 19 of them.
Just before the day, Hezbollah even launched more than 200 projectiles to Israel. This had been done to ensure that the weapons depot gets destroyed and even marked escalation of the war from both sides. It has been more than 10 months since the war between these two regions have been going on, which has even broadened the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
These clashes have reported more than 500 deaths in Lebanon till now, with 100+ civilians declared dead and the deaths in Israel include 26 civilians and 23 soldiers. Golan Heights was captured by Israel from Syria back in the year 1967, during the Six-Day War. However, this annexation was only noticed by the United States as the other countries still regard Golan Heights as a part of the Syrian Community.
