Washington: Former President Donald J Trump was shot in the ear while he was campaigning in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening. While the former President was speaking to the thousands of supporters in Butler town of the swing state, the anonymous guy shot him near the ear. Republican National Convention is set to nominate him as their presidential candidate.
The 78-year-old former president was rushed to the Hospital with blood streaking across his face. While the shooter and a bystander were killed, two others were also critically injured after the shooting in Pennsylvania. “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear”, said the injured President after he moved to the hospital.
Standing up for Donald Trump, Opposition leader President Joe Biden confirmed that there is no place for such violence in America. For the unversed, Joe Biden is set to face Donald Trump in the upcoming November election.
The shooting at a rally in Butler on Saturday left one rally attendee and the suspected gunman dead, and two other spectators critically injured, the Secret Service said in a statement.
Investigators “are working tirelessly” to determine a motive, Kevin Rojek, a special agent in the FBI’s Pittsburgh’s field office, said at a news conference late Saturday.
