Ukraine: The first class of 635 Ukrainian fighters finished a five-week advanced US training course in Germany. The course enabled the troops on sophisticated combat skills and armored vehicles that will be critical in coming spring offensive against the Russians.

The first group of 635 Ukrainian fighters arrived at the base on January 15. They finished their five-week advanced course as they were put through an intense training that prepared them to take Bradley fighting vehicles and M109 Paladins into battle. The training is expected to be critical and therefore a second group of 710 Ukrainian troops arrived at Grafenwoehr training area, confirmed Pentagon spokesperson Brigadier General Pat Ryder.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has continually pressed Western allies to hasten their military support. Zelensky has said that delays would play into Russia’s hands as the war approaches its first anniversary.

“David defeated Goliath not by conversation, but by courage and sling. Courage we do have. The sling should get stronger. So that the next yeat we would gather for the Post-War”, tweeted President Zelensky.
