Male, Maldives: A massive fire has been reported in a building in the capital of Maldives, Male. It is being told that 10 people died in this painful accident, including nine Indians. Apart from this, many people have been badly injured as well.
The fire broke out in the car garage located on the ground floor of the building, officials said. After getting information about the matter, several vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and the fire was brought under control after about four hours. It is being told that during the investigation, the bodies of 10 people were found on the upper floor, including nine Indians and one Bangladeshi.
Officials say 10 bodies have been recovered from the upper floor after the fire broke out in the building. The fire took place in the car repair garage on the ground floor of the building. A fire brigade official said, “we have recovered 10 bodies. It took about four hours to get the fire under control.” The Male Police officials said that nine Indians and one Bangladeshi are among the dead.
The Indian High Commission in Maldives has condoled this incident of fire in Male, in which a total of 10 people, including 9 Indian nationals, have died. The Indian embassy said that it is in touch with the Maldives government regarding the incident.
