Dubai: Ain Dubai, which translates to “Dubai Eye,” is the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel, standing at 820 feet. It opened to the public on October 21st, with tickets currently on sale online. This is the latest addition to Dubai’s long series of world-record-breaking landmarks. In a promotional video for the wheel’s official opening, Dubai’s Crown Prince, Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, was shown sitting atop one of the wheel’s observation pods -talk about a once-in-a-lifetime view.
Ain Dubai would elevate guests to a height of 250 metres, about twice that of the London Eye, and will provide them with a magnificent perspective of Dubai’s gorgeous skyline. The wheel has 48 capsules that can hold 1,750 people, with each ride lasting around 38 minutes. It offers 76-minute sessions that start with one spin and go up to two rotations.
Unique celebration packages are also available at the destination. Birthdays, engagements, weddings, and business gatherings will all be possible with these. The private cabins can be adapted to accommodate a variety of occasions ranging from intimate gatherings to cultural celebrations to pamper VIP guests. This magnificent work of art required almost 9000 tonnes of steel. Officials believe that Ain Dubai needed around 25% more steel than the Eiffel Tower was built with.
