Islamabad: Imran Khan has finally received bail till June 8 in eight cases related to violence that erupted at the Judicial Complex here in March from the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad.
This development provides a temporary respite for Khan and is expected to alleviate the concerns of his supporters’ and potentially ease tensions between the influential military and supporters. The bail, valid until June 8, was confirmed by Khan’s lawyer, Muhammad Ali Bokhari, during a phone conversation on Tuesday, 22 May.
But Imran Khan still faces several charges which include hiding assets, graft cases, and even insulting a female judge. However, Imran Khan has denied all of them. The grant of bail in these cases represents a significant legal development for Imran Khan and his political career.
