Kyiv: According to governor Pavlo Kyrylenko, seven civilians have been hurt and two have died as a result of Russian forces’ shelling in the last 24 hours in the Donetsk area. Fatalities have been reported from Adiivka and Zaitseve the governor added. As per a study, Russia recently began offensive operations in the area of Bakhmut, southwest of Avdiivka and southwest of Donetsk City.
After a series of explosions that Russia attributed to “sabotage,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged Ukrainians to avoid Russian military installations and ammunition dumps.
President Zelenskyy in his nightly address underscored that ignorance could be one of several explanations for the explosions. “But they all imply the same thing: saving our people’s life means destroying the occupiers’ logistical support, including their command headquarters, military hardware, and ammunition, he added.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a security conference in Moscow on Tuesday, the Russian president said, “The situation in Ukraine reveals that the United States is trying to prolong the conflict out… In an effort to maintain what he called Washington’s “global hegemony,” Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the US of extending the conflict in Ukraine.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is scheduled to visit Ukraine on Thursday to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the western city of Lviv. They’re likely to talk about grain shipments and potential fact-finding excursions to the Zaporizhzhia plant.
