Canberra, Australia: The murder of a 24-year-old woman in Australia back in the year 2018 has an Indian suspect. A 38-year-old man named Rajwinder Singh, who lived in Queensland is said to be originally from Punjab’s Buttar Kalan area. He is the prime suspect in this murder case. The victim Toyah Cordingley went missing on October 21, 2018, and her dead body was found the next morning at Wangetti beach.
The investigation of the murder case by the Queensland police led to the suspect Rajwinder Singh who hails from India. The Australian police in accordance with the Indian high commission has announced a reward for any info about the suspect given by common people.
“A USD 1 million reward for information from the public has been announced as part of ongoing investigations into the 2018 murder of 24-year-old Toyah Cordingley in Far North Queensland. Police Minister Mark Ryan approved the major reward for information leading to the location and arrest of 38-year-old Rajwinder Singh, believed to be overseas, in relation to Toyah’s murder”, the Queensland police said in a statement.
They have also set up a WhatsApp link for getting the information that the Australian High Commission announced in New Delhi. “In India, people with information can call the Australian Federal Police at the Australian High Commission on+91 11 41220972,” they informed.
The acting detective superintendent in the case, Sonia Smith has said that bringing justice to Toyah and her family is the priority of the Queensland police and they will do what it takes to possibly bring the suspect into their reach. “A dedicated team of detectives from Cairns, Far North and the Homicide Investigation Unit has continued to work tirelessly towards ensuring justice for Toyah Cordingley and her family”, said the detective superintendent.
