IPL 2025: Tournament to Resume on May 17; Revised Schedule and Venues Announced

IPL is all set to get underway from 17 May as the BCCI announced the revised schedule on Monday, 12 May.

The BCCI to resume IPL season across six venues, with the final slated for June 3 as per the revised schedule.

The IPL was halted on May 8 after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off midway due to raid alerts.

However the board officials decided on a quick resumption of the league following a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan in their border conflict.

The first match upon resumption will be between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru on May 17.

The six venues for league matches as per revised schedule are: Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

A total of 17 matches will be played across the six venues, and the revised schedule includes two double headers, to be held on two Sundays.

Venues for the playoff matches will be announced at a later date.

Qualifier 1 will be held on May 29, followed by Eliminator on May 30. The Qualifier 2 is scheduled for June 1, with the title match to follow two days later.
