MS Dhoni may perhaps be the least active cricketer on social media nowadays, yet the former Indian captain, who announced his retirement on August 15, took to social media on Thursday to share an exceptional accolade sent to him by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi also wrote down another tribute for Suresh Raina, who joined Dhoni into retirement the same day.

MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina will currently be seen back in real life in the upcoming version of the Indian Premier League – which is set to be played in the UAE.

Like Prime Minister Narendra Modi composed an exceptional letter for Dhoni, he accomplished it for Raina also. A section from the letter read, “Ages will remember you as a fine batsman as well as a helpful bowler who the skipper could go to when the circumstance demanded. Your fielding was praiseworthy and inspiring. The absolute best gets in ongoing universal cricket and has your unmistakable engraving. It would take days to tally only the number of runs you have spared with your alertness on the field.”

Raina then took to Twitter to express gratitude toward him for his desires. He tweeted, “When we play, we give our blood and sweat for the nation. No better appreciation than being loved by the peoples of this nation and much more by the nation’s PM. Much thanks to you @narendramodi ji for your expressions of thankfulness and all the best. I acknowledge them with appreciation. Jai Hind!”

Prior, the PM had composed for Dhoni, “The name Mahendra Singh Dhoni won’t be remembered only for his cricketing measurements or explicit game dominating jobs. Looking at you as only a sports person would be unfair. The right method to assess your impact is as a wonder.
