Indore: A son of a CRPF officer has been nabbed in connection to a sextortion racket which he was running with his girlfriend.
Himanshu Tiwari son of a CRPF officer Ramkant Tiwari, identified as the kingpin of the racket, a native of Indore along with five others was arrested. Himanshu, the only son of the officer posted in Jammu is himself a victim of the racket
Reportedly, the accused chose it as a means of earning once he escaped the racket. After completing his bachelor’s in BBA, Himanshu engaged in the racket along with his girlfriend and four others under the pretext of studying.
On preliminary investigation, it is learnt that the group would first engage the victims by creating fake IDs and then would hold obscene conversations and screen record them, which they would use to blackmail them. So far 35 have been blackmailed.
