Lucknow: Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla returned to his home state, Lucknow today. Shubhanshu Shukla was given a grand welcome at Lucknow Airport at 9 am. Where people from the government administration along with children from CMS school will also be present. Shubhanshu Shukla’s car parade will reach the Vistar Campus Auditorium from Lucknow Airport via CMS Gomti Nagar Vistar Campus G-20 intersection. Shubhanshu Shukla’s felicitation ceremony has been organized from 10 am.
Shubhanshu’s press conference will be held at CMS School Auditorium at 12 noon. Shubhanshu will meet CM Yogi Adityanath at 3.30 pm. Shubhanshu Shukla’s felicitation ceremony will be held at Lok Bhavan at 4 pm.
For the unversed, Shubhanshu Shukla was a part of the Axiom-4 private space mission, which departed from Florida on June 25 and reached the ISS on June 26. He returned to Earth on July 15. Last Saturday, he posted a picture of himself sitting in a plane on Instagram. He wrote, ‘Many kinds of emotions are rising in my heart as I sit in the plane to return to India.’
He further wrote, ‘I am sad to leave behind the wonderful people who were my friends and family for the last one year during this mission. I am also excited to meet all my friends, family and all the people of the country for the first time after the mission. I think this is life – everything together.’
