NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police recovered the weapons accused Aaftab Poonawala used to cut the body of his live-in partner months ago before being caught in October. It added the police also recovered a ring that belonged to 27-year-old Walker, which Poonawala allegedly gave to another woman after killing Shraddha. This is the same woman who visited Aftab’s Chhatarpur’s flat after Shraddha’s murder and when her body parts were still stored in the fridge.

The session for the Polygraph test continued today at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini, the source said. According to reports, Aftab’s polygraph test is still not completed and the narco-analysis test will have to wait till then. Reports also mentioned that Aftab cooperated with the interrogation to some extent but evaded answering a few crucial questions.

Meanwhile, cops nabbed a drug peddler and allegedly Aftab’s friend in Surat. A search for Aaftab’s friend who goes by the name Badri is being conducted. The police are yet to assess whether Badri and Aftab were in contact on May 18 (Shraddha’s murder according to Aftab) and before November 12 (Aftab’s arrest).

Poonawala allegedly strangled Walker and cut her body into 35 pieces, which he kept in a 300-liter fridge for almost three weeks at his residence in Mehrauli in south Delhi, before dumping them across the city over several days.

He was arrested on November 12th and sent to five days of judicial custody which was further extended by the Saket court twice until Nov 17 and recently for 13 days on Nov 26th.
