Jammu and Kashmir: In revenge for the Pahalgam terror attack, India attacked 9 terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir on the intervening night of 6-7 May. Pakistan has become furious after India’s action. Pakistan once again fired on the Line of Control (LOC) in the Poonch sector, in which an Indian Army soldier was martyred. 15 innocent civilians also died.

The civilians killed in the shelling have been identified. The deceased include Ruby Kaur (33), Mohammad Zain (10), Mohammad Akram (42), Amarjit Singh (47), Mariam Khatoon (7), Vihaan Bhargav (13), Amrik Singh (54), Ranjit Singh (48), Zoya Khan (12), Shakeela Bi (41), Mohammad Rafi (40) and Mohammad Iqbal (45), all residents of Poonch district.

Jammu airport was closed

Many houses and vehicles were damaged in shelling by Pakistan in various areas of Poonch and Rajouri districts. The Indian Army has given a befitting reply to the Pakistani Army in Mankot, Krishna Ghati, Shahpur, Lam, Manjakot and Gambhir Brahmana areas. The Divisional Commissioner’s Office of Jammu has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch districts. Apart from this, Jammu airport has been closed for civilian flights till further notice.
