Gas Cylinder Shortage in MP: Now the struggle for domestic gas cylinders continues in Madhya Pradesh. The online server has crashed. Long lines are being seen outside the agencies. It is being said that the gas cylinder number is not being called, due to which people are reaching the agencies. Only one or two stocks are left in the hotels. The stock of the street vendors is almost finished. Food items have also become expensive. This is having a direct impact on Ramadan and weddings. At the same time, black marketing has also started due to the shortage of cylinder. The heat of the Gulf war has now reached Chowpatty.
The impact of global geopolitical turmoil is now clearly visible at the local level. The ongoing war in the Gulf has disrupted global supply chains, directly impacting Narmadapuram’s famous Chowpatty. A severe shortage of commercial gas cylinders has created a livelihood crisis for many shopkeepers.
Narmadapuram’s Chowpatty, the city’s vibrant and dining hub, is currently deserted. Several major shops have already closed due to the lack of gas cylinder supplies. Shopkeepers with limited stock say they will be forced to close their shops as soon as the cylinders run out in a day or two. Local shopkeepers expressed their anguish, saying they are completely dependent on the gas supply. If the supply isn’t restored soon, they will face significant difficulties in running their households.
For the workers and small vendors working at Chowpatty, this situation is nothing short of a disaster, as their daily income depends on this business. Experts believe that tensions in the Gulf countries have adversely affected the import and export of crude oil and gas. The cylinder shortage in cities like Narmadapuram is a part of this global crisis. If the situation does not improve, the coming days could see a surge in food prices and a major decline in business.
Black marketing has started due to gas shortage caused by the war in the Middle East. Taking advantage of the shortage of domestic gas cylinders in Chhatarpur, retired teacher Shyamlal Ahirwar has illegally stored the cylinders at his home. On receiving the information, the local administration reached ward number three Vishwanath Colony and confiscated 25 domestic gas cylinders kept inside the house. Out of which three gas cylinders were found filled and the other gas tanks were found empty. Regarding this, the Tehsildar and the Food Department officer have started action against the retired teacher.
