Raipur: The Finance Dept of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday through a fresh notice revised the Dearness Relief of the pensioners by 22 per cent under the 7th Pay commission and 174 per cent under the sixth pay commission for pensioners from May 1 2022.
The state employees in Raipur staged a protest demanding the DA and the HRA at par with the central payout. The employees after assurance from the Chief Minister called off the protests.
In a joint presence conference, state Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey and office bearers of Chhattisgarh Karamchari Adhikari Mahasangh (CKAM) had made a formal announcement then.
The state government had announced a 6 per cent hike in the DA last month, taking it to 28 per cent, which was to be paid from August 1 this year, but considering the CKAM’s demand, it will now be given from July 2021,
