Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh on Wednesday hit the biggest single-day spike in novel coronavirus cases as the state recorded as many as 86 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to state health department. 

With this, Chhattisgarh’s Coronavirus tally breached the bleak milestone of 670 mark and currently stands at 678.

Along with this, as many as 2 deaths have been recorded in the state so far. On the brighter side, total 19 patients were cured and discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, taking the total number of patients recovered from the disease to 189.

Of these 86 new cases, 26 recorded from Balodabazar, 20 from Janjgir, 12 from Mahamasund, 8 from Korea district, 6 from Jashpur, 3 from Balod, 2 each from Raipur, Durg and Rajnandgaon and 1 each from Raigarh, Balrampur, Kawardha, Mungeli and Bilaspur.

State health department has informed about the latest addition of 52 new cases on Wednesday night ” On Wednesday night, 52 new corona patients were identified and 19 coronavirus patients were discharged after recovering. Total active patients are 489.”
