Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday launched an advanced centralized system under the title ‘Tunhar Sarkar Tunhar Dwar’, which meant Your government at your doorstep. This scheme is proposed to facilitate contactless services for the issuance and delivery of smart-card-based driving license, vehicle registration, and related documents at the residence.
Aiming to prevent the spread of the infection amongst the long queues at the transport office, the state department resorted to technology incorporation in their systems. Nearly 22 such services have been formulated that can be availed from the comfort of home, stated additional transport commissioner Dipanshu Kabra.
He informed that applicants would have to visit the website link www.parivahan.gov.in, select the desired certificate option and fill required information in the forms followed by making an online payment. In order to ensure smooth implementation of the facility, the transport department is going to start a helpline number 7580808030 for citizens to enquire status and seek help regarding the delivery of vehicle documents, said Kabra.
Kabra along with assistant transport commissioner Shailabh Sahu form the core team of the initiative. To enable centralized smart card printing, activation, and dispatch of vehicle documents provided by NIC Delhi a team with Joydeep Shome, BV Reddy, AK Hota, and others has been initiated.
Chhattisgarh is the first state to have launched a centralized system for issuing smart card-based Aadhar integrated driving license, registration certificates, and many such services via an online system for home delivery.
