Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Government on Wednesday has made negative RT-PCR reports mandatory for passengers flying to the state. As per the revised instructions, negative RT-PCR reports should be provided from an authentic pathology lab certified by ICMR.
The guideline was issued by the Department of General Administration through circulars to Commissioners, Inspector General’s of Police, all Collectors and Superintendents of Police of all divisions.
The new rule is scheduled to be levied from August 8. Additionally, passengers presenting proof of vaccination will also have to carry negative RT-PCR reports, which is not more than 96 hours.
In case of failure to present the reports, the COVID screening centre established at the airport would conduct the test for which the traveler will have to present the Photo, Aadhar card and mobile number.
Chhattisgarh reported 3 deaths and 346 cases today. Currently, 4,914 active cases are being monitored. So far, 9.78 crore individuals have recovered in the state.
