Balor: Police have taken a big action against drug abuse in Balod district of Chhattisgarh. Ganja was being smuggled by creating a separate chamber in the tractor. Police conducted a raid and recovered 103 kg of ganja from the tractor. The cost of the seized ganja is said to be more than 10 lakhs. This case is from Sohatra village of Purur police station area.
According to the information, Purur police received information from an informer that a large quantity of ganja was being smuggled hidden in a red tractor. On receiving the information, Purur police reached Sohatra village. On getting the hint of police’s arrival, the accused driver left the tractor near Hanuman temple of the village and fled. When the police searched a red tractor without a number plate, a secret chamber was found in the tractor, in which ganja was being smuggled hidden.
Police have recovered 103 kg of ganja from the tractor, which is worth Rs 10 lakh 30 thousand. The tractor has also been seized. In this case, Purur police has registered a case against the unknown tractor driver under section 20 (b) NDPS and is investigating.
