Border 2 carries its phenomenal box office success, and reinforces the golden streak of Sunny Deol that has seen the release of sequels. The movie is about to soar through 100 crores across the globe in less than three days of its debut. In just two days, the war drama has already earned a global gross of ₹93 crore, which is an indicator of an enormous commercial hit.
Among the total collection, the movie has collected ₹78.60 crore on the domestic box office and 15 crores abroad. The film received impressive initial momentum and was popular among many people as it earned a huge gross of ₹43.5 crore solely on its opening day, all over the world.
Border 2 is performing well when it is compared to other recent releases that are considered to be of big ticket. The largest Bollywood hit Dhurandhar had grossed international revenues of 1.8 million by its second day in theatres, and had earned a global of approximately 88 crore. Nevertheless, Gadar 2 is yet to come, as it has already earned a 2-day global gross of ₹108 crore.
Produced by T-series and JP Films under the direction of Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars a star-cast of Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, among others along with Sunny Deol. According to a press statement made by the makers, the film recorded high footfalls in the early morning shows and this made it one of the largest openings in the recent past.
The movie had an enormous opening in the theatres as it earned a huge Day 1 with a net box office collections (NBOC) of 32.10 crores. Building a good word of mouth and maintaining the interest of the audience, Border 2 is likely to achieve the ₹100 crore mark with ease and keep going strong in the coming days.
