Datia: Durga idols were immersed in many places in Madhya Pradesh yesterday on Saturday. During this, three people died due to drowning in the river. Two people died in Umaria and one in Datia district. While two youths were saved by divers. After losing their loved ones, the family members are crying bitterly. The police have started the investigation by conducting a post-mortem.

Two people died by drowning during Durga idol immersion in Umaria. In the first incident, Prince (30), son of Santosh Patel, resident of village Sejwahi under Indwar police station, died by drowning in Son river. In the second incident, Ajay (30), son of Ramlal Baiga, drowned in the pond of village Kathoha under Manpur police station. His body was recovered today at 10 am on Sunday after more than 12 hours. Currently, the police have sent the bodies of both for post-mortem. The investigation has been started by conducting inquest.

A major accident took place during Durga idol immersion on Saturday evening at Pachera Sindh river ghat of Tharet police station area. Where three youths drowned in the river during idol immersion. Nikhil Baghel (18) resident of Salampura Bhind died in this incident. While local divers saved the lives of two youths Raghavendra Baghel, Mahendra Baghel. At present, the police have registered a case and started investigation.
