Lucknow: A 3-storey building collapsed in Lucknow’s Transport Nagar area on Saturday, killing one person. About ten people are afraid of being trapped inside. The building, known as the Harmilap Building, was used as a godown for the pharmaceutical business. The incident occurred at around 5 pm.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this accident. The Chief Minister has immediately sent the injured to the hospital and directed the district administration officials to provide them proper treatment. Along with this, he also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The CM directed the district administration officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work.
Rescue operations are underway at a rapid pace since the accident. Many people have been safely pulled out from the debris of the building, while efforts are on to rescue others. Relief and rescue teams have reached the spot and are working to help the affected people. Officials and rescue workers present at the spot are working with full force so that more people can come out safely. The cause of the incident is not yet known.
According to officials, work was being done in the building’s basement at the time of the collapse. About 13 people were injured in the incident, and they have been admitted to the hospital.
