A performance marketing manager took to his LinkedIn profile to share an interesting yet shocking bill comparison post. Rahul Kabra shared two photos that have the same food order but priced differently. As per the post, the order includes veg black pepper sauce, vegetable fried rice and mushroom momo.
The total of Zomato bill was read at Rs. 689.90 (after applying a discount of Rs. 75) while the offline bill amount was Rs. 512. This drew shocking reactions from the netizens on social media. Kabra in his post wrote, that there is a need to put a cap on cost escalation by the Government to serve the stakeholders in a transparent and genuine way.
He further added, that a normal value driven Indian customer always go for a comparative analysis of where he is spending more and how much worth he is getting out of that. Zomato is a highly preferred online portal when it comes to food ordering and this comparison has raised brows.
Meanwhile, the post has gone viral and reportedly received more than 7600 reactions and almost 1000 comments so far.
