Meta owned photo-sharing app Instagram stopped working for several users on Monday evening, days after a global WhatsApp outage was reported. Several users faced problems with accessing their accounts. Users read- “we suspended your account on October 31, 2022”, as the application suffered an outage.

#Instagramdown has been trending on Twitter and has garnered as many as 97.9K Tweets.

The platform confirmed the issue on Twitter, stating, “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience”

Instagram users took to Twitter, posting screenshots of their account suspension notifications that claim their accounts do not follow Instagram’s community guidelines. Some experienced crashes while opening and scrolling through Instagram.
