In an act of solidarity against the vindication of ex Bishop Franco Mulakkal scores of hand written letters were posted by social activists and the general public presenting concern towards the judgement passed.  #Avalkoppam-meaning with her always captioned the letters that demanded justice.

The letters addressed to the survivor and fellow nuns garnered huge attention. Amongst those who stood at the front were, Kerala actors Parvathy Thiruvothu and Rima Kallingal.

Sisters Anupama Kelamangalathuveliyil, Neena Rose, Josephine Villoonnickal, Ancitta Urumbil residing at the St.Francis Mission home, in Kerala’s Kottayam district have been shunned by the authorities as they stood by the survivor since the fight commenced in 2018.

Interacting with the media, Father Augustine Vattoly, convenor of the Save Our Sisters Forum, said, “ The nuns are completely shocked and paralysed. The survivor is living in fear. She wants to come out to the light and speak but the difficulties are just going to build. The people of Kerala, irrespective of caste and religion are supporting the sisters. But there could be retaliation from the church authorities soon. We want all the support possible to keep the fight going.”
