Under the guidance of Elon Musk Twitter has undergone changes, including rebranding efforts and the removal of checkmarks. The recent addition, to these alterations is the introduction of a livestreaming feature that allows users to broadcast videos.

Elon Musk himself took to the platform on a Friday sharing an image of a camera icon and announcing, “Live video now functions well. Just tap the button that resembles a camera when you want to post.”

Interestingly Elon Musk personally went live on X using his @ElonMusk account. During the livestream, he playfully tested out the functionality while joking about its effectiveness. He showcased his colleagues. Even showed off some bicep curls using a 45 pound dumbbell. Impressively at the time of writing this paraphrased text the livestream had already amassed 12.1 million views.

However, details about when this livestreaming feature will be available to all X users or if it will be restricted to X Blue subscribers still unclear. Musk and his team have yet to specify this information following their pattern, for introducing features on the platform.

In another related update, Elon Musk also revealed that X users now have the option to download videos. However verified users will have the privilege to access this feature and content creators will have the ability to grant permission for their videos to be downloaded. This measure is in place to prevent any downloads and uphold the rights of creators.
