Sundar Pichai in a recent interview with content creator Varun Mayya, opened up about AI in the Indian market and the advice he has for the country’s engineers amid the rise of this new technology. Mayya and Pichai met at the Google headquarters after the company’s annual I/O developer event, which the vlogger jokingly called “AI Coachella”.

Varun Mayya took to YouTube to share the 10-minute-long interview. “Wow, what an honour! I got to sit down with Sundar Pichai at Google I/O for an exclusive podcast! We dive into the incredible advancements in AI and how India is poised to ride this exciting wave of innovation. Plus some more interesting insights!” he wrote.

Born and raised in India, Google CEO Sundar Pichai is today among the many trailblazing Indian-origin CEOs who are steering global giants to greater heights. Pichai, 51, recently sat down for a short podcast with YouTuber Varun Mayya, where he discussed AI’s impact on India, his advice to Indian engineers, his take on ‘wrapper’ startups and more. In a lighthearted moment towards the end of the podcast, the CEO of Google also revealed his favourite Indian dishes.

When Mayya asked Sundar Pichai to name his favourite food in India, the CEO of Google and Alphabet answered with diplomacy. Rather than risking a regional war of words, he picked his one favourite dish from each of the three major metros of India – Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai.
