Sriharikotla: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the US space agency NASA jointly launched a special satellite on Wednesday. This satellite has been named NISAR. It has been launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center located in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. ISRO’s GSLV-F16 rocket has been used to send the satellite of this joint mission of NASA and ISRO into space, which is named NISAR.
CM Yogi Adityanath has congratulated India on this achievement. The CM wrote on Twitter, “A big leap for New India in space exploration! Congratulations to ISRO and NASA on the successful launch of GSLV-F16 carrying the revolutionary NISAR satellite. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, this magnificent achievement marks a glorious chapter in India’s space journey.”
The CM further wrote that ‘NISAR is India’s scientific collaboration with the world, a powerful symbol of global cooperation. It will provide critical data on disasters, agriculture and climate change, empowering nations with better preparedness and resilience. This mission embodies India’s vision as Vishwa Bandhu, a trusted global partner in the service of humanity.’
