MUMBAI – The latest wave of Apple mania swept through Mumbai on Friday, September 19, as hundreds of dedicated enthusiasts queued up outside the company’s flagship store at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for the official launch of the much-anticipated iPhone 17 series.
A huge crowd gathered outside the Mumbai store with queues forming well before the opening hours. Many were seen lining up even before sunrise, eager to be among the first to buy the newly launched devices. Shoppers waited patiently, some since the early hours of the morning, to get their hands on Apple’s latest release.
“I was standing in the queue since 3 am. I have come here from Jogeshwari. I was very excited… waiting for this phone since last six months”, said a person standing in que.
In Delhi, the launch of Apple’s iPhone 17 series drew massive crowds, with long queues forming outside the company’s Saket store on Friday morning.
The new iPhone 17 series, which includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the new iPhone Air, has been generating significant buzz for its latest features. The devices come equipped with the new A19 chip and iOS 26, which introduces a new suite of AI features dubbed “Apple Intelligence.” The new phones also boast upgraded camera systems, with the Pro and Pro Max models featuring 48MP sensors across all three rear cameras and an eye-catching new orange color option.
Despite the infectious excitement, the massive turnout at the BKC store led to some chaotic scenes, with a minor scuffle breaking out among a few people in the long queues. Security personnel were quick to intervene, and order was restored.
