On the commemoration of the anniversary when the Data Protection Bill, 2021 (DPB 2021) was withdrawn the government has recently introduced a legislation called the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023 (DPDPB 2023). The government aims to ensure its passage during the Monsoon session of Parliament.
