Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken major action against corruption. The government has withheld the salaries of over 68,000 state employees. This decision was taken under the zero-tolerance policy against corruption. It is being reported that these state employees failed to upload details of their movable and immovable assets. These details were required to be uploaded to the Human Resource Portal. Due to this failure, the government has withheld their salaries.

It is believed that employees’ salaries will be withheld until they submit their property details. The Chief Secretary had previously issued instructions regarding the withholding of salaries. Departments were given until January 31st to upload the details. Failure to do so will result in further action.
