UP Budget Session 2026. The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly began on Monday. The session began with the Governor’s address amid uproar and sloganeering from the opposition. A condolence motion was tabled in the House on Tuesday. Following this, on February 11th, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will present the budget for the financial year 2026-27 (UP Budget 2026-27) in the Assembly. This budget will be the last and tenth budget of the Yogi government’s second term, ahead of the UP Assembly Elections 2027.
The budget (UP Budget 2026-27) is expected to be around ₹9 lakh crore. The promise of providing scooties to meritorious girls may be fulfilled in this budget. An increase in the honorarium of Shikshamitras and instructors is also expected. Development, education, and women’s empowerment may also be a focus. The UP budget is likely to contain significant announcements, with the government likely to provide something for every segment of society.
The budget session of the Legislative Assembly (UP Budget Session 2026) is scheduled to continue until February 20. Several ordinances are also expected to be introduced during the special session. Tight security arrangements have been made for the session. Additionally, some traffic-related changes have been made in the capital during the session.
