Lucknow: Today marks the fourth day of the budget session in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Proceedings commenced at 11 am, with Deputy CM Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak among those present. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak remarked on the Samajwadi Party’s (SP) character, stating that the state’s people are well aware of their character, which disrupts the spirit of brotherhood. Pathak criticized the SP for supporting those who disturb law and order in the state. He also mentioned the global joy over the restoration of the Ram Janmabhoomi.

In the Assembly, SP lawmakers opposed a motion of thanks. Pathak warned that the SP would have to pay for its actions in the future. He assured that the promises made in the BJP’s manifesto would soon be fulfilled. Regarding the India Alliance, he dismissed it as old wine in a new bottle, labeling it as a group of power-hungry individuals. Pathak emphasized that they have no concern for the country’s development. He highlighted the success of poverty alleviation schemes, which have uplifted people above the poverty line.

Pathak expressed confidence that the BJP would win all 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. He criticized Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra, suggesting it is mere posturing. It was noted that discussions and thanks proposals regarding the Governor’s speech would take place today, along with other legislative activities.

Discussions on the budget presented by the state government would occur on the 8th, 9th, and 12th of February, followed by general discussions on the 10th. The legislative agenda reflects the commitment to effective governance and accountability in Uttar Pradesh.
