Ayodhya: On Thursday, four idols were consecrated at the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust shared images of the entrance door on social media, featuring sculptures of Lord Hanuman, Garuda, Elephant, and Lion. The traditional Nagar style temple in Ayodhya, as per the Trust, will have dimensions of 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and a height of 161 feet. It is designed as a three-story structure, with each floor being 20 feet high, supported by 392 pillars and adorned with 44 doorways.
The main sanctum of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir will house the infant form of Lord Rama, while on the first floor, the divine court of Lord Rama will be enshrined. The temple will consist of five mandaps, namely, the Dance Mandap, Color Mandap, Assembly Mandap, Prayer Mandap, and Kirtan Mandap. Sculptures of deities and goddesses will be carved into the temple’s pillars and walls.
According to the Trust, devotees will ascend 32 stairs from the eastern side to enter through the Singhadwar. Special arrangements, including ramps and lifts, will be made for differently-abled individuals and the elderly. The temple’s total length will be 732 meters, and its width will be 14 feet in all directions. The construction will include four temples dedicated to Suryadev, Goddess Bhagwati, Lord Ganesha, and Lord Shiva, at the corners of the rectangular enclosure. Additionally, a temple for Goddess Annapurna in the northern arm and a temple for Lord Hanuman in the southern arm will be part of the grand design.
The Shri Ram Mandir, a symbol of cultural and religious significance, is taking shape with meticulous planning and architectural details, making it an architectural marvel in the making. The Trust continues to share updates on the temple’s progress, generating widespread interest and anticipation among the public.
