Agra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the works of five Amrit Bharat stations of Agra Railway Division in April next month. Agra Railway Division has started preparations for the inauguration ceremony to be held through video conferencing. In the first phase, 15 stations are being built in the Agra Division under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana. PM will inaugurate the work done at Idgah, Fatehabad, Govardhan, Govindgarh, and Mandawar Mahua Road stations. Two years ago, in the Union Budget, Amrit Bharat Station Yojana was launched to beautify railway stations across the country and increase passenger facilities.
Under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana, more than 200 railway stations across the country were selected for the first phase, which also included 15 stations of the Agra Railway Division. Now, after two years, work has been completed on five of these stations. Along with the beautification of the main building of the stations, the circulating area has been expanded, and passenger facilities have been increased. as the approach road leading to the station has been widened. Sources of Agra Railway Division say that in April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Bharat Stations built across the country.
Railways have designed the main building of Amrit Bharat stations according to local features. Apart from this, works like full HD screen display, upgradation of platforms, shed on platform, train indication board, new bench, new announcement system, coach guidance display board, single line display board, beautification of circulating area, high mast tower, digital platform clock, building expansion, CCTV, foot over bridge, drinking water improvement, sewer system improvement etc. have been done.
Railway sources say that along with increasing facilities at Amrit Bharat stations, the railway is also planning to stop trains. In future, the stoppage of mail/express trains will be increased at all Amrit Bharat stations of the division. Its beginning has been made by sending a proposal to the Railway Board for stoppage of six pairs of trains at Idgah station. Soon the stoppage of trains will be increased at other stations as well.
