Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Kalki Dham Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, addressing a gathering that included religious leaders and seers. He acknowledged the numerous tasks ahead, stating, “Many good deeds are left for me to achieve.”
Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who invited Modi to the event, faced a six-year Congress expulsion for anti-party remarks. Following the temple ceremony, Modi inaugurated 14,000 projects in UP, valued at over Rs 10 lakh crore. This marked the fourth groundbreaking ceremony for investment proposals from the UP Global Investors Summit 2023 held last February.
The Kalki Dham temple, under construction by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, led by Krishnam, received attention at the event attended by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Modi noted the significance of the occasion after 18 years of anticipation and expressed confidence in achieving pending goals with the blessings of saints and citizens.
Attributing success to the devotion of saints and public spirit, Modi emphasized the temple’s importance in becoming a prominent center of Indian faith. He contextualized the event’s sanctity, coinciding with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary, making it more sacred and inspiring.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the transformation in India over the past decade, describing it as “a new Bharat.” He emphasized the country’s developmental strides on the path to progress in the new era.
