Muzaffarnagar: The holy month of Sawan starts from July 11. In such a situation, changes are being made in the traffic plans for the convenience of the Kanwariyas. In lieu of this, the movement of heavy vehicles will be banned on the Delhi-Haridwar route from July 10. The movement of light vehicles will also be stopped from July 18. Alternative routes have been determined from Muzaffarnagar to Haridwar. Changes in the traffic plan are being made according to the number of Kanwariyas.
According to the instructions issued by the DIG office of Saharanpur Range, the movement of heavy vehicles will be stopped on the Delhi-Haridwar and Canal Track Road from the night of July 10. This ban will continue till July 23. The movement of light and medium vehicles will be stopped from the night of July 18.
Vehicles going from Muzaffarnagar to Haridwar will have to go via Rohana, Chhutmalpur, Bhagwanpur and Roorkee. Heavy vehicles going from Delhi to Saharanpur-Uttarakhand will go via Wazirabad Bridge, Outer Ring Road, Kundli, Rai, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal and Yamunanagar.
On the other hand, heavy vehicles going from Ghaziabad to Uttarakhand will use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway via UP Gate and Dasna Intersection. Vehicles going from Meerut to Haridwar and Dehradun will go via Mawana, Bahsuma, Ramraj, Meerapur, Jansath Sikhera. Light and medium vehicles from Meerut to Shamli will go via Nanu Canal Bridge, Bhuni Chauraha, Budhana, Fugana route. Small vehicles going from Muzaffarnagar to Shamli will go via Vahlana Chowk, Pinna Bypass, Baghra, Titavi, Lalukhedi.
