Shravasti: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that the opposition wants to lock over 50 crore bank accounts opened under his government to take control of the money deposited in them. During a poll meeting in Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti region campaigning for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Modi dwelled on the change and the reversal his government had brought and those possible if the opposition returned to power.
The Prime Minister had opened Jan Dhan accounts for more than 50 crore poor people, he said and added, “They will close your bank accounts and take away your money,” pointing towards the opposition, which is part of the Jan Dhan Yojana that aimed to empower the poor and helpless section of the society by providing them banking facilities.
Listing his government’s achievements, Modi stated, ‘Modi ensured that electrification of every village’. These people would create darkness again by stacking the connections with electricity; this is a very wrong thing to do. While Modi has committed to providing water to every home; the SP-Congress people will follow the directions of opening the water tap of your house and flowing it away. They know this to the core thus availing their services to other companions of juvenile offenders. He reiterated the measures taken for betterment in voltage supply and access to water and other essential facilities and said that all these blessings can be reversed by the Opposition.
Modi also accused the face of the Samajwadi party and Congress of planning to grab the houses of the poor and involve it in vote bank politics. Now, SP-Congress people have decided to reverse everything…they will take the keys of these 4 crore houses from you, snatch the houses, and give them to their vote bank, he asserted.
