Lucknow: The rain had almost stopped in Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon will be active again in the state today, i.e. 29th August. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 20 districts. An alert has also been issued regarding lightning. People have been instructed not to leave their homes without any reason.

It has issued a yellow alert for Noida, Ghaziabad and parts of Delhi on Friday. This warning, which is based on the weather department’s nowcast for Delhi-NCR, comes after Noida residents witnessed heavy rains on Friday morning.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon system is going to become active in the state. This will give relief to people from the humidity and heat. After which the process of rain may start again in both parts of the state. Heavy rain is expected on August 30.

A yellow alert for rain has been issued in Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Saharanpur, Hapur, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and Bareilly. Along with this, there is a possibility of lightning in many districts.

As per the weather forecast issued by the IMD, isolated heavy rainfall is expected over parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Haryana till September 1.
