Maha kumbh 2025: The Yogi government is giving top priority to security for the Maha Kumbh to be held in January 2025 on the holy banks of Triveni. Under which many new and modern measures are being taken this time, so that the safety of the devotees can be ensured. It will have facilities like underwater drones, water scooter brigade.
For the first time, underwater drones will be used to monitor the water area. Sonar technology will also be used to examine the underwater situation. Due to the expansion of ghats, eight-kilometre-long deep water barricading will be constructed in the rivers, which will increase the safety of the devotees.
For the first time a water scooter brigade has been formed for quick assistance. It will have 25 water scooters. This brigade will be able to reach the spot immediately for any emergency. Two floating rescue stations will be set up at Sangam and VIP Ghat, where first aid and other necessary equipment will be available. Along with these measures, security agencies are also alert so that the devotees can have a safe and pleasant experience.
Kumbh Mela History
The Kumbh Mela 2025 is scheduled to take place in Allahabad (Prayag) from January 13th to February 26th, 2025. Hindus are known for their passion to celebrate festivals in a grand way. Kumbh Mela Prayagraj 2025 is one such festival admired by the Hindus. The event takes place in major & ancient cities of India named Prayag Raj (earlier Allahabad), Haridwar, Nasik & Ujjain.
It usually takes 12 years to get a repeat on the same location except in Prayag Raj and Haridwar. In Prayag Raj and Haridwar, there is an Ardh Kumbh (smaller version of Maha Kumbh) every 6 Years also. The history of Kumbh Mela in India way back to when the earth used to be the staying place for the gods. In a battle between the gods and demons to win the nectar of immortality, some of the much sought after liquid fell on the rivers at Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nasik, and Ujjain.
The Kumbh Mela Prayagraj is the largest human congregation on the Earth & added to the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage on 8th December 2018. It is believed that according to the position of astrological stars the water of those holy rivers turns into nectar. In this festival, the Hindus wash themselves off in the holy rivers to give away all their sins. In 2019, Prayagraj Kumbh Mela Packages attracted a crowd of 24 Million including 1 Million foreign tourists as per the Government data. The holy dip at Kumbh Mela is perceived one more step closer to salvation. More interestingly, the participants of this Kumbh Mela have not only been restricted to India but people across the globe in this holy gathering.
