Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that Uttar Pradesh has successfully overcome its ailing state, attributing the achievement to the vision of the Prime Minister. He emphasized that implementing the Prime Minister’s vision as a mission led to the formulation of effective policies across various sectors, resulting in a significant transformation in law and order. The Chief Minister highlighted that Uttar Pradesh, now positioned as the country’s second-largest economy, has not only witnessed improved security but has also established itself as a revenue surplus state.
Speaking at the ‘UP-Emerging Destination for Foreign Investment in India’ event organized by FICCI in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the audience, including central ministers and other dignitaries. The occasion featured the unveiling of a booklet showcasing the changing narrative of Uttar Pradesh through a short film. CM Yogi assured that the state government is committed to achieving the goals set by the Prime Minister, turning Uttar Pradesh into India’s growth engine.
During his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the state’s achievements in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). He mentioned that between 2019 and 2023, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed four times the FDI that came in the seventeen years from 2000 to 2017. CM Yogi attributed this success to the conducive environment for investment created by the state’s clear policies, strong security measures, and transparent governance.
He emphasized that when investors perceive a secure and well-defined policy environment, they are inclined to invest. Uttar Pradesh, under the present circumstances, exemplifies such an environment. The Chief Minister reiterated the state’s commitment to fulfilling the Prime Minister’s resolutions and asserted that Uttar Pradesh is on its way to becoming the growth engine of India.
